Description:

Position Summary: Recruitment Coordinator manages the full recruitment cycle and ensures House of Ruth Maryland always meet our staff requirements in the hiring process from beginning to end. The recruiter should have a focus on confidentiality, accuracy and customer service. This position provides support to allow efficient Human Resources operations. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates full cycle recruitment for all vacancies
  • Places job advertisements
  • Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process
  • Ability to conduct various types of interviews (in person, online, phone)
  • Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with clients or hiring managers
  • Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifying experience and background
  • Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
  • Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Assist in the maintenance of Human Resources Information System database, files and general human resources information
  • Produces and maintains reports or simple supporting schedules as needed using MS Word or EXCEL formats
  • Reproduces, creates, revises, and as necessary, distributes human resources recruitment forms
  • Consults with hiring managers and directors to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s)
  • Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields
  • Reviews data and records to identify and select potential candidates for vacant position
  •   Follow up with clients or hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful
  •  Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary
  • Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  •  Enforce Recruiting plan and updates plan, with approval, as necessary




Skills:

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field ; or 3 years’ experience in human resources required
  • At least three years of recruitment or related experience required
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong organizational, management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail; computer literate (MS Word, Excel, internet, e-mail and HRIS software)
  • Ability to work independently with general direction from HR Leadership
  • Exhibits discretion and upholds confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to understand intimate partner violence and how it affects staff, clients and employers and be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
