Job duties: The Harris Products Group in Santa Fe Springs, CA seeks a Business Development (Marketing) Manager. The Business Development (Marketing) Manager has the following duties: Coordinate with Company Marketing Departments globally, but in mainly Spanish speaking countries, to import and promote Lincoln Electric/Harris products (Hand Cutting Tips, V Torch Tip Nut, Torch Valve Stem Assemblies, Regulator Check Valves, Regulator Flashback Arrestors, etc.). Develop and execute marketing campaigns, literature, catalogues, flyers, general information and promotional materials activities in various languages, as needed. Coordinate packing development, design, modifications and cost reduction activities. Develop price list and discount schedule in conjunction with the sales department. Coordinate exhibitions, trade shows, customer events, open houses and keeps the International Marketing Calendar up-dated. Coordinate the distribution and analysis of the sales, margin, and products report. Report marketing action plans and results on a monthly basis. Coordinate the electronic information including web-site, and online requests. Coordinate the marketing budget and report action plans and results on a monthly basis. Responsible for the execution and completion of major projects (new equipment specification, new product/market introductions, global sourcing of buy/sell, etc.) from inception through implementation, meeting project schedules and budgets; identifying and securing the needed resources through all project phases; working with multifunctional teams ensuring compliance to corporate and government regulations and procedures; preparing business plans; creating drawings, layouts, project schedules, budgetary projections, Appropriation Requests (AR) documentation, corporate presentations and financial tracking documents; liaising between customers, suppliers, contractors, plant and corporate personnel; and ensuring coordination and cooperation by working with teams to ensure that the projects remain timely and on budget, and are completed as to minimize disruption to current plant production requirements. Collect and analyze market, product, voice of customer and distribution channel information. Identify and select markets for profitable new product and service offerings. Prepare and direct the Business Development Business Plan based on corporate objectives. Prepare the Business Development Business Plan Action Plans and progress reports. Develop and organize product and service supply chain and distribution channels. Help establish market pricing based on facts and reliable information and coordinate pricing implementation and maintain pricing in information systems. Orient customer service on new products, services, channels and pricing. Develop annual distributor and end-user business plan and submits revisions and results quarterly. Interface with other managers to maximize service to customers and resolves any problems. Develop sales tools. Promote full range of products and service portfolio. Report action plans and results on a monthly basis. Provide sales forecast and supports logistics planning. Domestic and international travel 15-25% of the time to company facilitates, customers, and/or suppliers to perform job duties.
Requirements: Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and 2 years of experience in: sales and project management; welding and cutting; implementation of Lean/6 Sigma manufacturing programs; providing statistical analysis using six sigma tools; and design and execution of DOE, measurement analysis, and FMEAS. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally 15-25% of the time to company facilities, customers, and/or suppliers to perform duties.
