House of Ruth Maryland, Inc. (HRM) is Maryland’s largest provider of services to victims of intimate partner violence, serving over 8,000 victims per year.  As a leader in integrating best practices into our work, HRM has developed Measuring Success, an innovative model for measuring client outcomes.  The position is responsible for assisting with the client database system (ETO) and research efforts through data entry, data maintenance and cleaning, data integrity reviews, reporting/querying, staff training and other support as needed


Skills:

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • One year experience using database software.

  • Experience with client databases preferred; Efforts to Outcomes software and SAP’s Web Intelligence suite (Business Objects) preferred.

  • Intermediate EXCEL skills required. General proficiency with other computer software programs (MSWord, internet, e-mail, etc.).

  • Ability to analyze and understand database components and structure to create and run queries and to help others define reporting criteria.

  • Familiar with outcomes measurement and basic research methods.  

  • Able to troubleshoot basic computer problems.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills; excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Understanding and sensitivity to intimate partner violence issues.

  • Ability to work with people from different backgrounds. 

  • Must be able to move efficiently through multiple tasks, as well as work with direction but often independently, as well as, within a team. 

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
