Position overview:
-
Operate manufacturing equipment within the soldering department
-
such as a casting furnace, melting furnace, band-saw, shear, and overhead crane.

Maintaining utility area and equipment through the use of 5S tools, maintaining Kanban levels, and performing minor maintenance of casting equipment.

Uses all safety equipment on machinery as well as personal protective equipment properly.

Uses appropriate measurement equipment to confirm product characteristics.

Operates material handling and label making equipment.

Fills out daily production reports detailing work activity and any other paperwork required per procedures.

Uses hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.

Versatility to move between multiple operations such as casting, extrusion press, drawing equipment, ring making, spooling and reclamation equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot and correct process problems.

Ability to communicate effectively with lead supervisor and team.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and possess:

A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be at least 18 years of age
Work demands occasional strenuous effort. For example, handling of moderately heavy boxes, tools, equipment or materials; walking/climbing or sitting/standing in a fixed position for extended periods of time; working around moving parts/machines; working with irritant chemicals, etc. Employee is required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, coats, boots, gloves, or shields; may require working in adverse weather conditions.
