ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Position overview:

The Harris Products Group, a Lincoln Electric company, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Operations team in Mason, OH.  In this position, you will work with production team members and support teams to ensure equipment is being operated safely and processes are run by procedure.  Additionally, you will provide electrical engineering support for maintenance, plant operations, team projects and developing root cause and corrective action where required.

Qualified candidates must be goal-oriented team players and possess:

·         Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school and 2-3 years of engineering/manufacturing-related experience or 5-7 years of engineering/manufacturing-related experience.

·         Excellent equipment and process troubleshooting skills

·         Proficient with Ladder Logic and PLC programming with an emphasis on Allen Bradley PLCs

·         Proficient with HMI / Touchscreen programming with an emphasis on RSView

·         Working knowledge of Variable Frequency and DC drives (motor controllers)

·         Working knowledge of computer hardware, configurations, and Windows operating system

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office

·         Experience with Lean tools – Value Stream Mapping

·         Proficient with SAP, Mini Tab, Auto Cad / Auto Cad Electrical

·         Six Sigma training – Red Belt or equivalent

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills in PLCs, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery
