Position Summary: The Aide assists the Child Care Teachers. The Aides will supervise and insure the safety and well being of the children, insure the classroom is stocked with supplies, clean, and sanitary at all times. The Aides may assume temporary responsibilities of the Child Care Teacher in their absence.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Cleans the classroom. Including mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing toys and surfaces, trash disposal, etc.
- Ensures the playground is clean and safe for the children's use.
- Assists in implementing weekly lesson plans developed by the Child Care Teacher.
- Provides nurturing and comfort to the children.
- Feeds and diapers infants and toddlers.
- May assist in the writing of daily reports to parents detailing sleeping, eating, and diapering activities for the day.
- Assists in inventory of child development and educational materials and reports to the Director when supplies are low.
- Assists in the sorting, storage and distribution of children's donations.
- Participates in relationship-based practice and reflective supervision.
- Attends and participates in weekly staff meeting and trainings appropriate to this position.
- Enroll in the Maryland State Child Care Credentialing Program, complete 6 hours of continuing education a year following the state guidelines.
