Description:

PROCESS ENGINEER

The Harris Products Group | Gainesville, GA

Are you a Process Engineer with an innovative, strategic approach and an eye for detail?  Are you focused on continuous improvement and meeting departmental objectives?  If so, Harris wants you on our team!

Position overview:

The Harris Products Group, a Lincoln Electric company, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our engineering team in Gainesville, Georgia.  In this position, you will improve manufacturing processes to boost productivity, quality, and profitability for the company.  Work with production and quality team members to identify and mitigate risks, support and ensure equipment is being operated safely, processes are being run by procedure and the weekly production schedule is met. Develop manufacturing standards. Report and monitor product area quality, scrap, and rework performance, developing root cause and corrective action when required.  Monitor and analyze manufacturing process yields/cost, identify issues and develop improvement steps. Plan, organize, lead and complete engineering projects/capital projects for new processes.

Qualified candidates must be goal-oriented team players and possess

 Required 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline such as Metallurgy, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical 
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent process trouble shooting skills
• Proficient in Solid Works or equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Proficient with Continuous Improvement tools

Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Six Sigma Training  - Certified Green Belt or higher 
• Excellent trouble shooting skills in PLCs, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery. 
• One year experience with SAP and Minitab
• Proven experience with ESPRIT or equivalent CAM software for generating G code programs 
• Working knowledge of Mazatrol programming with troubleshooting for Mazak lathes with live tooling.
