Position Summary: With the guidance and supervision of the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Manager (AFM) has responsibility for designing and implementing a comprehensive annual giving strategy and related campaigns and appeals for House of Ruth Maryland. The AGM will create and launch leadership, legacy and recurring giving cohorts, inclusive of prospect identification, determination of giving levels and launch event. The AGM will supervise engagement strategies for recurring and new donors and reengagement strategies for lapsed donors and work collaboratively with the marketing team to create appropriate digital media campaigns. The AGM will also be responsible for overseeing and managing database operations to ensure data consistency and quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Create an annual calendar of direct mail and email appeals.
· Recommend most cost effective method for producing mailings, including identifying vendors
· Build a leadership giving program, including determination of giving levels and appropriate cultivation and stewardship elements for such program—such as leadership reception, etc.
· Develop launch plan for new leadership society, including society name and benefits, launch event, initial prospect list.
· Develop cultivation strategy for society members, including mailings, peer-to-peer solicitations, and visits by AGM and other staff and volunteer leadership.
· Create moves management and results tracking systems for leadership society.
· Help develop strategy for managing ask cycle for larger donors who support numerous areas (such as annual giving, campaign, event sponsorship).
· Develop strategy around reengaging long-lapsed donors to House of Ruth Maryland with capacity for leadership giving.
· Recommend strategy for engaging leadership volunteers, such as the Board of Directors, with cultivation, solicitation and engagement of leadership society membership.
· Provide direct supervision to the annual fund team.
· Oversee data integrity and quality control.
· As part of development team, assist with events/outreach efforts as needed.
