We are searching for a person who is motivated, enjoys constantly learning new technologies and enjoys meeting and interacting with our customers. This position consists of delivering supplies and equipment to our customers, setting up and testing new printing equipment, performing maintenance and repair on printers, MFP's and other office equipment and coordinating with the IT technicians to support our existing clients. For the right person, additional IT duties could be possible. If you like working with your hands, performing regular maintenance on mechanical devices or repairing things back to a functional status, this could be the job you've been looking for. Print Service Technician
Job Summary
The Print Service Technician will be primarily responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining, and installing printers and MFP's, performing routine maintenance on equipment and delivering supplies to customer offices.
Work Tasks
- Converse with customers to determine details of equipment problems.
- Perform routine service and maintenance tasks.
- Travel to customers' stores or offices to service machines or to provide emergency repair service.
- Reinstall software programs or adjust settings on existing software to fix machine malfunctions.
- Advise customers concerning equipment operation, maintenance, or programming.
- Test new systems to ensure that they are in working order.
- Operate machines to test functioning of parts or mechanisms.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance work or repairs.
- Install and configure new equipment.
- Maintain parts inventories and order any additional parts needed for repairs.
- Align, adjust, or calibrate equipment according to specifications.
- Repair, adjust, or replace
electrical or mechanical components or parts.
- Disassemble machines to
examine parts, such as wires, gears, or bearings for wear or defects,
using hand or power tools and measuring devices.
- Analyze equipment performance records to assess equipment functioning.
