Harris Co., a manufacturer of brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables founded in 1914.

The Harris Products Group currently operates manufacturing facilities in Mason, Ohio, USA; Gainesville, Georgia, USA; Dzierzonow, Poland; and Maua, São Paulo, Brazil. Each is ISO 9001 certified for quality management systems.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - 3rd Shift

The Harris Products Group, a Lincoln Electric company headquartered in Mason, Ohio, is the global leader in the design and manufacture of gas welding and cutting equipment, industrial and specialty gas regulation equipment, gas distribution systems, brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables.  Due to rapid growth, we have an immediate need for maintenance technicians to join our award winning team. Position Overview:

As Maintenance Tech, you will repair and maintain all production and facility equipment as well as perform project work.  While demonstrating a high regard for safety at all times, you will be required to work the hours necessary to support the team which may include overtime and/or a varied schedule to cover vacations or team absences.

Qualified candidates should possess an exemplary work ethic and have:

  • A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 2 years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.

  • Experience with Lean tools.

  • Strength in welding, fabricating, and pipe fitting along with experience operating material handling equipment, scissor lift, and manipulating man lift.

  • Strong computer literacy with experience in operating HMI’s (touch screens).

  • Ability to install and set up AC and DC drives.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of ladder logic for relays and PLC’s, primarily with Allen Bradley PLC’s.

  • Experience with SLC, Micro Logix, Control Logix, Logix 500, Logix 5000, and RSLinx.

  • Familiarity with NEC (national electric code) as it applies to industrial applications.
