Description:

MoneyGuide, Inc., developer of MoneyGuidePro financial planning software, is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team! The candidate should be experienced with the Microsoft Windows environment as well as various associated technologies. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have an affinity towards learning and supporting technology and possess strong customer service skills to support end-users.

 

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Specify, order, setup, and install PCs and necessary peripherals 
  • Manage on-premise Active Directory, Office 365, and phone system accounts
  • Basic softphone support 
  • End user PC and application support 
  • Hardware/software research, testing, and implementation
  • Process Documentation
  • Maintain network connections, configurations and system monitoring
  • Vendor Relations including communication, coordination and purchasing

 

Qualifications and Experience:  

  • 2 To 5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Thorough understanding of the Windows 10 PRO operating system and general BIOS configurations for various platforms (Lenovo, Surface, DELL, HP, etc) 
  • Thorough understanding of PC software, major browsers , and troubleshooting techniques 
  • Fundamental understanding of networking (VLAN’s Subnets, Gateways, DNS, DHCP, etc.) 
  • General understanding of Active Directory (User/group Creation, hierarchy, and distribution/security groups 
  • Ability to address fundamental protocols and troubleshoot/escalate as needed
  • Fundamental understanding of Windows Server Administration, Active Directory Account Management, Windows DNS, DHCP, Windows Group Policy, Services,
  • Office 365 experience. Specifically, Exchange Admin, licensing, and MS Teams administration 
  • Antivirus administration experience
  • Previous experience with ticketing system processes and triaging
  • Strong communication skills with internal clients and colleagues both verbally and in writing
  • Attention to detail and ability to exercise caution when working with production systems and resources 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work periodically during evening/weekend hours to provide maintenance and project implementation. Skilled in creating documentation, procedures, processes, and designs 

Required Soft Skills:

  • Aptitude towards research and initiative to learn new products and technologies 
  • Self-motivated and able take on tasks/projects head-on and ask for help when necessary
  • Team player attitude with good communications skills 
  • Security conscience and trustworthy 
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently

  • Apple support (MacOS and mobile device troubleshooting)
  • Cloud PBX and VOIP Phone System Administration
