Accent Consulting is a Managed Service Provider that specializes in Managed IT, Cyber Security, Cloud Services, Software Development, and Technology Consulting. We are a fast growing company that is committed to being the primary resource for technical consultation in our region and we're looking for a Network Administrator II to join our team.  

A typical day at Accent Consulting would look like...

  • Participating in the daily planning, tracking, scheduling, and executing of project tasks and general network operations activities.
  • Act as a point of escalation for desktop and systems administrators.
  • Diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Configuring networks to ensure reliable operation for business objectives and processes.
  • Administering and maintaining site infrastructure, including network connectivity, and Internet access.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of network-related issues.
  • Installation and maintenance of site network equipment (Routers, switches, and wireless solutions).
  • Supporting the definition of network architecture, evaluation of products, and implementation of new technologies into the network.
  • Ensuring that all network technologies comply with industry standards (PCI, SOX, etc..)
  • Integrate network devices and services with Windows server roles such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and Network Policy Server.
  • Keeping customer documentation up-to-date and accurate.
  • Delivering assigned operational and project commitments to customers.

Skills:

Some of the skills and experience we are expecting are...

  • We require 3-5 years of experience in a network-focused IT position
  • Associates degree in a relevant field is nice but not required
  • Technical Certifications such as CCNA, BCNE, NSE4, JNCIA, Network+, Security+ are highly desirable
  • You should possess proficiency with network systems, protocols, and standards (Ethernet, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP), as well as general knowledge of network security including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Understand and define the layers of the OSI Model
  • Familiarity with Classless Subnetting
  • Understand the differences between various routing protocols
  • Understand basic 802.11 principles, e.g., MIMO
  • Understand Spanning Tree Protocol function and its place in the network
  • Explain the differences between NAT, PAT, and port forwarding
  • Explain the differences and benefits of TCP and UDP
  • Define what NGFW is and what it entails
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities of Layers 1-4
  • Configure and manage VLANS
  • Build and troubleshoot VPN Tunnels
  • Knowledge of 802.1X implementation strategies
  • Configure and deploy firewalls
  • Competency with Windows Server environments
  • Experience in executing medium to large-scale projects
  • You should possess excellent communication and client service skills, both written and oral, including a proven ability to create detailed technical documentation
  • Possess strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a clear driving record
