Bauer Family Resources’ rich heritage traces back to 1929 when a probation officer, Grace Bauer, saw the need to provide services that would divert youth from trouble with the law. Though our agency has undergone significant challenges, growth and changes throughout the years, Grace’s original passion, mission and resilience remains at the very heart of Bauer Family Resources. Today, with just 150 employees, Bauer Family Resources is able to impact the lives of over 10,000 individuals every year.

Description:

Bauer Family Resources has been delivering community-based services to at-risk children and their families since 1929. The organization was formed as the result of one women's desire to keep children from becoming involved in the court system. This vision evolved over time to working with the families of at-risk children and the community.

The Homebuilders Specialist position provides Intensive Family Preservation using the HOMEBUILDERS model, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill buildings, concrete services, and advocacy. It provides services to two to three families at a time whose children are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement, or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive in-home services. It provides services primarily in client homes. This includes being available to respond to client crises when they occur.
