Primary Responsibilities:
To perform preventative, predictive, general and emergency maintenance on various production and facilities equipment and systems which includes all machinery & mechanical equipment, HVAC and electrical systems, and plumbing in the plant; and will assist with the installation, movement and disassembly of machinery and equipment. This person will interface and work with outside vendors.
Essential Duties:

2. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
3. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
4. Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
5. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
6. Control downtime by informing appropriate personnel of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
7. Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders if appropriate; verifying receipt.
8. Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
9. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
10. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Employ the strategies of LEAN and 5S.
11. Work with outside contractors when necessary.

13. Perform Custodial and Maintenance Activities

15. Manage ISO Level II Processes related to Preventative Maintenance (Equipment & Facilities
16. Create and implement training plans for Equipment and Facilities Maintenance.
Secondary Duties:
1. Supports Quality Assurance for deployment, maintenance and implementation of ISO Quality Systems.
Physical Demands:
Physical Demands: The employee is required to:
- stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
- exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
- exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Licenses Required: None
Visual Acuity: Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
Hearing Ability: Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
Working Conditions: the employee is subject to:
- high noise levels from operating machines
- physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
- breathing fumes, dust and mist
- skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid
