MASTER MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS – 1st & 3rd, 12-hour Shifts
2,2,3 schedule [10% shift differential on 3rd]

Position Overview:

Works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization.

Repair and maintain all production and facility equipment as well as perform project work.

Completes weekly maintenance schedule.

Schedule repairs of equipment.

Performs fabrication, pipe fitting, welding, brazing & soldering.

Operates material handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift when needed.

Observes operation of equipment, troubleshoots abnormalities, dismantles equipment to gain access, determines faulty parts, requisitions parts, reassembles equipment, tests and runs out, makes sure equipment is in good, safe working operation and returns it to production.

Assist in maintaining repair parts inventory & supplies.

Communicates pertinent information to supervisor.

Trains personnel from other departments to recognize problems and issues with equipment.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and possess:
-
A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 5 years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent troubleshooting skills in PLC’s, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.

Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.

Experience with Lean tools.

An understanding of ladder logic for relays and PLC’s; familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC’s, SLC, Micro Logix and Control Logix; familiarity with Logix 500, Logix 5000 and RSLinx.

Strong computer literacy with experience in operating HMI’s (touch screens).

Ability to install and set up AC and DC drives.
Preferred qualifications:
-
Familiarity with NEC as it applies to industrial applications.

Strength in welding, fabricating and pipe fitting along with experience operating material handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift.
Work demands occasional strenuous effort. For example, handling of moderately heavy boxes, tools, equipment or materials; walking/climbing or sitting/standing in a fixed position for extended periods of time; working around moving parts/machines; working with irritant chemicals, etc. Employee is required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, coats, boots, gloves, or shields; may require working in adverse weather conditions.
