Position Summary:
Supports classroom staff in providing high quality, developmentally appropriate educational experiences for children birth - age 5 in home-like classroom environments through ongoing monitoring, feedback, and training. Ensures sites are meeting Indiana State Licensing guidelines and Head Start Performance Standards through periodic site evaluations. Supports families in meeting the educational goals of their child(ren).
Job Duties:
- Supervises, evaluates, and trains teaching staff
- Reviews and evaluates classrooms/sites to ensure compliance with Indiana State Licensing, Head STart Performance standards, and Bauer policies and procedures.
- Participates in program planning, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Interviews and presents candidates for teaching and support positions.
- Assists parents and guardians in increasing their knowledge of child development through use of the Creative Curriculum.
- Provide written communication through site newsletters to families monthly.
- Assists families with referrals to community agencies.
- Reviews classroom attendance and in-kind.
- Facilitates community involvement in the classroom .
- Other tasks as assigned.
