Position
overview:
This
leadership role will promote and sell Harris Products Group Specialty Gas Equipment to all industries utilizing this type of equipment in North America. Directs and oversees the organization’s sales policies, objectives, and initiatives; Sets short- and long-term sales strategies to increase market share in existing markets and penetrate new markets where our products could be used; Evaluates the effectiveness of current sales program; Recommends new products to meet specific applications, or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential; Performs a variety of tasks, including leading and directing the work of others; Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan, and accomplish goals; Establish and meet National sales goals and objectives; Manage and coordinate specialty gas training classes; Control expenses and maintain reporting/communication objectives established by Harris Products Group (HPG); This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing for North America.
Qualified
candidates must be goal-driven sales professionals who possess:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, MBA preferred
- A minimum of seven (7) years of successful management experience leading other sales managers on a national level.
- Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures with sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ingenuity to develop and manage key relationships throughout North America while maximizing new business development opportunities and utilizing company’s CRM to record business interactions.
- Mastery in identifying market gaps with strength in negotiating contracts and programs on a National level.
- Strategic dexterity to manage channel pricing strategies to meet financial objectives and increase market share.
- Business acumen to communicate changing market conditions, forecasts, and assemble business proposals.
- Vast experience presenting information cross-functionally and to all levels of personnel.
- Leadership intelligence to manage and develop direct and indirect representatives to foster sales performance.
- Ability to travel 60-70% of the time and actively participate in national/local trade shows and conferences.
