PIEtech, Inc., developer of MoneyGuidePro financial planning software, seeks a Corporate Contracts Attorney to join its rapidly growing firm in Powhatan, VA. You’ll work with our General Counsel, business executives, and internal clients to create, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts. To be successful in this position, you must have experience in business contract drafting and management. Experience with financial services, software and/or technology contracts is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing, editing, and/or drafting and negotiating software as a service (SaaS) agreements
  •  Log, organize, and manage document workflow, and develop and/or maintain related systems and files
  • Maintain and update a database of standard contract forms and templates
  • Provide advice to internal clients to support resolution of routine contractual and legal issues
  • Review contracts and policies, and research best practices
  • Research, analyze and summarize statutes, regulations and legal articles

Skills:

Skills and Experience:

  • J.D. degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Membership in good standing in Virginia State Bar
  • 10+ years of transactional experience in a law firm or in-house environment
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts is required
  • Experience with financial services, software and/or technology contracts preferred
  • Outstanding written communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Clear, concise, and comprehensive interpersonal communications; active listening skills; and understanding of business issues and challenges
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially MS Word and Excel)
  •  Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
