The Site Lead Therapist is responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities of the Clinical Services at the Baltimore City residential site. This includes supervision of staff and interns, serving as the liaison to the facility and IT and maintaining the integrity of the program in the community. The Site Lead Therapist is also responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to victims of intimate partner violence and their families on an ongoing basis as well as in crises. The Site Lead Therapist facilitates and supports a team approach among staff to address the trauma, mental health and other clinical issues clients may present.
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Clinical Services, the Site Lead Therapist ensures that the goals, objectives, and work effort of the staff at these sites are consistent with the mission of the House of Ruth Maryland and advances the agency and program’s strategic goals and objectives. This position is responsible for maintaining program integrity within the agency and in the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements site-specific goals and objectives, staffing plans and staff development strategies.
- Provides administrative and reflective supervision to clinician’s working with adults, children and families. Including hiring, establishing performance expectations, performance evaluation, establishing priorities, accountability monitoring, performance improvement interventions, and conducting regular individual supervision meetings.
- Provides one-on-one counseling for adult victims of intimate partner violence and their families in crisis and on an ongoing basis.
- Provides comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments for victims of intimate partner violence.
- Provides individual parenting education, to include the effects of intimate partner violence on children.
- Provides support group for adult victims of intimate partner violence.
- Participates in Clinical Services staff meetings and case review.
- Participates in individual case review and group clinical supervision with the department’s Clinical Supervisor.
- Take responsibility for assuring service is client-focused, culturally competent and sensitive, strength based, and built on a foundation of sound clinical theory and trauma informed best practices.
- Identifies training opportunities as well as develops and implements annual staff training and development plans.
- Ensures Clinical staff under supervision meet professional standards of practice and State licensing requirements.
- Uses agency information system and other methods to monitor and report on program quality and key performance indicators
- Ensures the collection and integrity of client/service data.
- Identifies opportunities to use interns and volunteers, trains, supervises, and provides support.
- Ensures compliance with terms of contracts and grants, including grant project management and reporting.
- Represents HRM on local coalitions, committees, and boards and provides professional presentations for educational and marketing purposes.
- Establishes service linkage agreements to increase the number of clients served, and provide more comprehensive services to clients.
- Makes recommendations to Associate Director of Clinical Services for service adaptation based on best practices established by research in the field.
