PIEtech, Inc., developer of MoneyGuidePro financial planning software, seeks a Corporate Counsel to negotiate contracts for its rapidly growing office in Powhatan, VA. This position will report directly to the company’s General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, edit and negotiate a variety of contracts, including software as a service (SaaS) contracts
• Manage document workflow and maintain related systems and files
• Maintain/update a database of standard contract forms and templates
• Advise internal clients on routine contractual issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Active law license in good standing
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
• Outstanding writing skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Understanding of business issues and challenges
• Flexibility to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Virginia Bar membership
• 5+ years of transactional experience in a law firm or in-house environment
• Experience with SaaS contracts
• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in math, science, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
