Description:

Bauer Family Resources has been delivering community based services to at-risk children and their families since 1929. The organization was formed as the result of one woman's desire to keep children from becoming involved in the court system. This vision evolved over time to working with the families of at-risk children and the community.

Child-centered, family-focused intervention services are provided to families in Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties. Services are designed to overcome the risk factors associated with children abuse and neglect, educate, and strengthen families. Services are provided through the lens of child safety with an emphasis on the family strengths and protective factors that can be leveraged to ensure children are safe. Services are primarily provided in individuals' home, including assessments. Therapeutic interventions include motivational interviewing, TF-CBT, CBT, psycho education and REBT. Completes number of direct service hours. Agrees to work variable days/hours to provide adequate services to the family. This may include some evenings and weekends.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Experience/Education:

Direct workers under this standard must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

1) Master's or Doctorate degree with a current license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following: 1) Social Worker, 2) Clinical Social Worker, 3) Marriage and Family Therapist, 4) Mental Health Counselor 5) Marriage and Family Therapist Associate or 6) Mental Health Counselor Associate.

2) Master's degree with a temporary permit issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following: 1) Social workers, 2) Clinical social worker, 3) Marriage and Family Therapist, 4) Mental Health Counselor, 5) Marriage and Family Therapist Associate or 6) Mental Health Counselor Associate within 90 days of employment and:

          a. 2 years related clinical experience, or

          b. completion of the DCS approved training program
