Position overview:

Sets up and operates shear cutting, draw cutting, spooling and drawing equipment by following company policies and standard operating procedures.

Uses all safety equipment on machinery as well as personal protective equipment properly.

Uses appropriate measurement equipment to confirm product characteristics.

Operates material handling and label-making equipment.
-
Fills out daily production reports detailing work activity as well as any other paperwork required per procedures.

Uses hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.

Completes minor maintenance tasks on equipment.

Troubleshoots and correct process problems.

Communicates with their lead or supervisor as it pertains to daily activities.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and possess:
-
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
-
Understanding of manufacturing processes with ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or regulations such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
-
Physically capable to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Reliable transportation and strong attendance record with flexibility to work overtime if needed.

Ability to pass background check, drug screen and physical.

Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Work demands occasional strenuous effort. For example, handling of moderately heavy boxes, tools, equipment or materials; walking/climbing or sitting/standing in a fixed position for extended periods of time; working around moving parts/machines; working with irritant chemicals, etc. Employee is required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, coats, boots, gloves, or shields; may require working in adverse weather conditions.
