Position overview:

The Harris Products Group, a Lincoln Electric company, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Mason, OH.  In this role, you will work with production and support teams to ensure equipment is being operated safely, processes are ran according procedure, and that the weekly production schedule is met.  You will report and monitor product area quality, scrap, and rework performance and develop root cause and corrective action when required.  Additionally, you will plan, organize, and complete engineering projects to improve processes and machine reliability and to support other Process Engineering team members.  The selected candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, take initiative and have superior process troubleshooting skills.

Qualified candidates must be goal-oriented team players and possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Metallurgy, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical and a minimum of three years of engineering/manufacturing related experience; or 5 years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

• Knowledge of ISO quality systems, Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to work and present cross-functionally.

• Ability to independently, simultaneously, and timely execute multiple assignments of varying scope to ensure smooth work flow.

• Attention to detail with strong analytical and project management skills.

• Practical problem solving ability and experience dealing with multiple variables where limited standardization exists.

• Ability to create and write reports, correspondence, and procedures with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical specifications.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with SAP, Minitab, and SolidWorks.

• Lean tools and Value Stream Mapping experience.

• Six Sigma training and certification.

• Process troubleshooting skills in PLC’s, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for production machinery.
