Bauer Family Resources is expanding it's FREE after school Youth Development program as part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) initiative by the Indiana Department of Education. The 21st CCLC is an academic enrichment program and is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards and promote out-of-school learning.

Youth Development Worker opportunities include after school hours, up to 18 hours a week. Youth Development staff will implement the LitART curriculum, plan after school enrichment activities, supervise youth from 5th and 6th grades, and focus on building positive relationships to improve educational outcomes and school behavior.

  • 40 week employment - after school calendar aligns with school breaks
  • Staff hours will vary approximately 2:30pm - 6:30 pm

Services are held at two different locations: Sunnyside Intermediate and Faith Christian School. Both locations will end their day at the Bauer Community Center.

Tutoring opportunities include after school hours, 3 hours a week. Tutors will work 1:1 with students providing academic enrichment.


Skills:

Must be 19 1/2 years of age or older.

Education/Other Requirements: The ideal candidate will have their high school diploma or GED, be 19 1/2 years of age or older, and have previous experience with at-risk youth and families.
