The company was formed in 2006 with the merger of Harris Calorific, Inc., a manufacturer of gas welding and cutting equipment and gas regulation and distribution systems since 1905 , and the J.W. Harris Co., a manufacturer of brazing and soldering alloys and welding consumables founded in 1914.

The Harris Products Group currently operates manufacturing facilities in Mason, Ohio, USA; Gainesville, Georgia, USA; Dzierzonow, Poland; and Maua, São Paulo, Brazil. Each is ISO 9001 certified for quality management systems.

ALUMINUM MACHINE OPERATOR- 1st Shift, $15.00/HR

[6am-4pm: Tuesday-Friday]

Position overview:

  • Able to run equipment such as ring machines, cutters, spoolers, draw benches and packing in a safe and efficient way
  • Uses all safety equipment on machinery as well as all personal protective equipment properly
  • Able to perform preventative maintenance as well as troubleshoot machines when down
  • Packages and labels finish products and sets up scales correctly
  • Experience with using hand tools to measure and inspect product and setup equipment.
  • Follows all product inspection and documents as required
  • Cross train in other jobs as needed

Qualified candidates should demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and possess:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes with ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or regulations such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Physically capable to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record with flexibility to work overtime if needed.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen and physical.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Work demands occasional strenuous effort. For example, handling of moderately heavy boxes, tools, equipment or materials; walking/climbing or sitting/standing in a fixed position for extended periods of time; working around moving parts/machines; working with irritant chemicals, etc. Employee is required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, coats, boots, gloves, or shields; may require working in adverse weather conditions.
